през тази година в Детройт (2011 Naias) най-накрая показа световната премиера на новия си модел Veloster.

Новият компактен седан на Hyundai (сериен вариант на концепцията Veloster от 2007 г.). според информация от корейската фабрика е интересен и икономичен автомобил се очаква да влезе в продажби от начало в САЩ по-късно тази година (цена според различните източници, следва да варират от 17 000 до 19 000 щатски долара) .

Veloster веднага привлече вниманието на още един интересен детайл, а именно, че автомобила от страната на пътниците има две врати, а от страната на водача само една врата.

За задвижване първоначално ще се грижи 1.6 литров четирицилиндров 16V бензинов двигател с 138 к.с. при 6300 об / мин. и 166 Nm въртящ момент при 4850 об / мин. (Заедно с шест-степенна механична скоростна кутия, по избор с 6-степенна скоростна кутия с два съединителя), а по-късно се очаква и по-мощен вариант.

Основна версия Veloster тежи 1180 кг и има ускорение от 0 до 60 mph (96 км / ч) за 8 сек. Veloster е дълъг 4219 mm, широк 1791 mm и висок 1450 mm, а междуосието е 2649 mm, и има 17-цолови джанти (по избор и 18 цолови).

Въпреки това автомобила е дълъг 4170 mm, широк 1801 mm и висок 1600 mm,  междуосието е 2639 mm, теглото 1270 кг, а колелата са 22 цола.

Curb Concept разпола с LED светлини, голяма предна решетка, стъклопанорамен покрив, нови Blue Link телематик система на Hyundai, Heads-Up Display, камери вместо традиционни огледала и Gamma 1.6L четири цилиндров турбо двигател.
